The Barn, 2 Bedrooms with Hot Tub, Forest of Dean

Lovely home for a ln escape to the countryside Positive: The Barn was in a great location , with the Forest on the doorstep yet just a short drive to Coleford where we could access a supermarket and other places for a day out. The hosts were very welcoming and the home was very well equipped and to a high standard.

We will be back… Positive: We had a fantastic stay at The Barn and couldn’t have asked for anything better. The property is finished to an exceptionally high standard and was spotlessly clean throughout. Every room has air conditioning, which made a huge difference during the warm weather and was a real luxury. The hot tub was another highlight – it was immaculate, and it was reassuring to see the water being checked daily. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond by putting up birthday balloons for our son, which was such a thoughtful touch and made his birthday extra special. The location is perfect. Walk just 50 metres from the door and you’re straight into the heart of the Forest of Dean. It’s also only around a 10-minute drive to both the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre and Puzzlewood, making it an ideal base for exploring everything the area has to offer. We genuinely couldn’t fault our stay. We very rarely return to the same place twice because we like to explore new destinations, but this is one place we’ll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommended! Negative: Nothing that we didn’t like, however, some facilities for locking bikes up would be good. We typically store our bikes within the accommodation but it was too nice inside and we didn’t want to risk leaving any marks.
